Your Pathway to IELTS Success

IELTS stands for the International English Language Testing System – an English Language proficiency test. Globally, there are more than 4 million test takers a year, making IELTS the world’s most popular English language proficiency test for higher education and global migration.

You can choose to take your IELTS Academic or General Training test on paper or computer at an official test centre. You may also be able to take IELTS Online, depending on where you live.

Requirements

Age: There is no strict age limit, but candidates must be at least 16 years old. Some institutions may require a higher age, depending on the purpose of the test.
Purpose: You can take the IELTS for academic or immigration purposes, depending on whether you want to study abroad, work, or immigrate to an English-speaking country.
Test Fee: The test fee varies by country, typically ranging between USD $150 to $250.
Test Date and Location: You should check the available test dates and locations on the official IELTS website or with a registered test center. Registration is recommended well in advance.

Test Duration & Fee

Listening, Reading and Writing are completed on in one sitting. The Speaking test may be taken on the same day or up to seven days before or after the other tests.

– Listening – 30 Minutes
– Reading – 60 Minutes
– Writing – 60 Minutes
– Speaking – Less than 15 Minutes
– Total Test Duration: 2 hours and 45 minutes.
– Test Fee: NPR 30,000 with effect from 1 Jan 2024. (This rate is subject to change without notice.)
– An IELTS result or Test Report Form (TRF) is valid for two years.
